The AMSynths AM8007 SH05 is a dual envelope generator module for Eurorack systems. Inspired by the classic SH05 circuit, it brings both historical authenticity and modern features. The module possesses operational transconduction amplifiers for efficient buffering of both positive and negative envelope signals. It houses custom-manufactured 2M log slide potentiometers, allowing for Attack and Decay times to range from 0 to 7 seconds, and Decay and Release times varying from 0 to 15 seconds.
At its core, the AM8007 features an ADSR unit with a unique uni-junction transistor design, ensuring seamless operational transitions. It also allows simultaneous gating of envelopes via an external GATE signal or the device’s front panel push button. The AM8007 also adds practicality and ambient aesthetics with its red panel LED indicator and subtle amber LEDs on the sliders.
The module also incorporates five 3.5mm jack sockets, providing access to external GATE input and delivering both normal and inverted AR and ADSR envelope outputs. This excellent connectivity makes the AM8007 an interactive addition to any Eurorack ecosystem, capable of handling diverse modulation requirements.
