The Herzlich Labs’ 4×4 Switch Matrix Mixer is an inventive Eurorack module uniquely designed without traditional knobs. Instead, it features a grid of switches enabling a wide range of modulation options, including triggers, gates, CV, and audio inputs. This 8hp module evolves beyond the conventional mixer model, promoting exploration of sophisticated rhythmic sequences and intricate gate combinations. The module’s visual appeal is enhanced with rows and columns of color-coded, backlit switches for easy operation. Despite the absence of traditional controls such as volume, the mixer provides a channel for creative exploration of electronic music within your Eurorack setup.

The Beers Envelope Generator is an 8HP Eurorack module that offers sophisticated AD/AR envelope manipulation capabilities. It generates four distinct envelopes, each with a unique function, controlled by GATE and TRIG inputs, and the exciting feature of a secondary set of envelopes that derive from the primary envelopes. The rise and fall times range from approximately 1ms to 1600ms and 30ms to 3000ms, respectively.
Envelope 1 is governed by GATE and TRIG inputs, and completion of Envelope 1’s attack stage triggers the second envelope, named Ripple. A unique feature is the third output, adjusting to the higher value of the first two envelopes, enabling the creation of twin-peaked envelope shapes. Envelope 1-2, on the other hand, is bipolar, with negative swings when envelope 2 overpowers envelope 1.
Beers Envelope Generator enhances the envelope modulation with its Q and not-Q gate features. Furthermore, the Q is high during envelope 2’s attack phase, while the not-Q rises once envelope 2 completes its attack mode.
Another feature is the EN or Trigger Enable input, which, when used with TRIG, ensures the envelope only triggers when the signal applied to the EN is also high.
It includes an additional Attack/Release behavior with a GATE input feature. It also sports a unique HOLD function, ideal for performances when you wish to freeze and retain a specific envelope configuration.
This module is power-efficient, requiring 15mA of +12V and 5mA of -12V power, providing a rich sonic landscape for dynamic artists to explore in-depth envelope manipulation.
